The Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is a nonpartisan independent watchdog that investigates and exposes waste, corruption, abuse of power, and when the government fails to serve the public or silences those who report wrongdoing. We champion reforms to achieve a more effective, ethical, and accountable federal government that safeguards constitutional principles.

POGO was founded, in part, to help bring attention to disclosures from Pentagon whistleblowers. Since then, we have worked with whistleblowers on countless investigative projects. Because our investigative work relies heavily on whistleblowers, we are continually working to advance strong, enforceable protections for whistleblowers in every sector of the federal government, including the intelligence community, the military, and contractors.
