Six years after the launch of the
WildLeaks Project, the world’s first whistleblower initiative dedicated to environmental and wildlife crime,
Earth League International (ELI) has released its first report on this ground-breaking platform.

The Hermes Center for Transparency and Digital Rights and
GlobaLeaks, WildLeaks is a safe online space where anyone can share crucial information about environmental and wildlife crime securely, anonymously, and with very limited personal risk. Using a secure Tor-based online submission and data management system, WildLeaks draws on sources that would usually go untapped, including those operating within the criminal networks facilitating environmental crime.
Since its inception, WildLeaks has received information about environmental and wildlife crime from over 30 countries, including China, Hong Kong, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania, Lebanon, India, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina, Brazil, Finland and Russia.
