Blueprint for Free Speech gives Whistleblowing Prizes and Special Recognition Awards to highlight the bravery of those whistleblowers who come forward in the public interest.
Blueprint awards prizes to whistleblowers in order to:

raise the positive profile of acts of courageous whistleblowing; and

build public awareness of the importance of whistleblowers’ role in raising the ethical standards of society more generally.

Whistleblowing contributes to the operation of democracy by exposing wrongdoing.
