Join the Acadmey of European Law (ERA) for their two day online seminar:

Freedom of Expression (Article 10 ECHR): Recent European Court of Human Rights Case Law.

When: 27 -28 May 2021
Where: ERA’s own online platform.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has developed jurisprudence on the freedom of expression rights under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) of whistleblowers who report information or publicly disclose wrongdoing at work.

In the recent case of Gawlick v. Liechtenstein the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) found that the immediate dismissal a doctor who disclosed unverified suspicions of euthanasia did not violate the Freedom of Expression under Article 10 ECHR.

The ECtHR had to be aware of the six factor criteria established in its case-law for the necessity of an interferance with an employee's right to freedom of expression.

This seminar will discuss this case and others as well training that will provide the participants with the necessary tools to identify and address human rights violations relating to Article 10 and apply that provision in domestic proceedings.

For more information on the topics covered in the seminar and fees see here.
