Whistleblowing and Tech: A fireside chat with The Guardian’s Paul Lewis, Uber Files whistleblower, Mark MacGann, and former Facebook content moderator, Daniel Motaung
To celebrate the launch of “A Tech Workers Guide to Whistleblowing: UK & Ireland Editions” this timely discussion has been organised to discuss the role that whistleblowing and journalism play in holding Big Tech accountable in an era where they often seem all too powerful.
The UK and Irish Editions are the latest published in a series of Tech Workers Guides following the release of the US edition in 2020 intended to provide workers with legal and practical tips for speaking out safely, including tips on working with the media, understanding risks of whistleblowing and how to access much-needed support.
The panel of speakers include two tech whistleblowers Mark MacGann and Daniel Motaung and journalist Paul Lewis.
