Call for Nominations for the 2024 Peter Bryce Prize for Whistleblowing

WIN member The Centre for Free Expression at Toronto Metropolitan University is calling for nominations for the 2024 Peter Bryce Prize for Whistleblowing. The Prize is awarded annually to recognize and honour an individual who serves the greater good by courageously speaking up about wrongdoing and abuse of public trust.

There are many people in Canada who speak up about wrongdoing that harms the public and often suffer the consequences Most of their stories are never known. If you know of someone like this, please consider nominating them for the 2024 Prize. You can submit their name using the nomination form on the CFE website. Please submit your nomination as soon as possible. The final deadline is December 31st 2023.

The prize is named after Dr. Peter H. Bryce, an early Canadian whistleblower who, in the early 1900s, spoke up about appalling public health conditions in residential schools. The Prize is accompanied by a $10,000 award.
